Online Britain
A new report commissioned by the governments Digital Inclusion Champion Marth Lane Fox has found that more than 10million adults across the UK have never used the internet. This equates to 17% of the entire population never been online and out of that 4 million are excluded due to their economic, employment or housing circumstances. It also found that people who used the internet were saving on average £560 per year as they would shop around for deals on the web and pay bills. The report also looked into savings that the government would make if they communicated out digitally internally and externally.
